The house is situated atop a hill overlooking the ocean and the horizon, placed in the midst of an uncultivated landscape on a small peninsula. The design of the house allows for close interaction with the surrounding nature and the beautiful scenery. The use of glass façades and windows allows nature to enter the house from all angles, and the sun may be traced as it rises and sets.
The small scale of the house, together with the use of wooden materials that have gradually developed a grey patina, allows it to coalesce with the existing forms and natural colors of the surrounding landscape. The design and spatial layout engender a sensation of being outdoors while inside.
