Yesterday, we marked the World Architecture Day, Arkitekturens Dag, by raising this question in a talk in our CPH studio with Anne Skovbro from By & Havn and Kristian Riis from Volcano Group.

Reiulf, Anne and Kristian spoke about trust, architecture, quality, loneliness, togetherness, legislation, top-down and bottom-up initiatives in a conversation moderated by Anne-Mette Hjøllund.

Arkitekturens Dag was also an opportunity to display some of our projects in our exhibition “Repairing for the Future”.

The exhibition raises topics around how we build better places for ourselves and for future generations. How does one densify in the city centre while preserving the qualities that are already present? How can we develop within constricted sites while impacting entire cities. How can we convert old industrial areas that previously have been unaccessible voids in the urban fabric? How can we re-use waste product and building materials from buildings that no longer can stand? A big thank you to everyone who contributed and visited us in our Frederiksberg workshop!
