Team RRA wins competition in France!
« Le voyage est comme une porte par où l’on sort de la réalité comme pour pénétrer dans une réalité inexplorée qui semble un rêve. » -Guy de Maupassant.
It's official!
RRA in collaboration with French landscape architects Parentheses and engineers at Berest, have been selected as winners to convert the former train tracks connecting Rosheim to St-Nabor in Alsace France into a pedestrian and bicycle green path!
The promenade, ondulating into the Alsacien landscape of vineyards, orchards and forests, crossing small villages and ascending hills, will be highlighted by 4 architectural interventions. As a continuous story split into chapters, each pavillion will enhance the local landscape and history of the site, and invite the visitors to the recapture a French heritage through 11km.
With a minimal impact on the existing landscape and connecting existing biking networks, this project will invite both locals and visitors to gather and explore! We believe it will become an important touristic destination in Alsace, especially for all the gourmets and wine lovers out there!
