Sagene Trevare at Oslo Open House 2023 !
The colorful townhouse will be open for the Oslo Open House event on Saturday 23rd September between 11h and 13h!
Sarpsborggata 1 is located in a lush and secluded urban environment on Bjølsen. The property originally housed a carpentry workshop, Sagene Trevare, which has provided the framework for the project. A total of six terraced houses in two different sizes will be built. Three of them were completed in 2021 and have received a lot of media coverage. In addition, the houses have been used as examples in the City of Oslo's new color guide. They stand out in the way they capture the colors of Oslo's older brick farm buildings and neighboring farms on Bjølsen/Sagene.
The houses are built with a limited footprint in a dense urban situation. The rooms are arranged over several levels, with an open kitchen and living room solution at the top. The homes are flexible and well adapted for families at different stages of life. Wood is used extensively in the kitchen, staircase and floors, in contrast to the concrete exterior walls and in close connection with the property's history of woodwork.
