We are happy to share that a team of Architects from Arkitema together with Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter is one of the four selected teams to compete for the design of Gas Klocka 4 in Stockholm.
Stockholm is growing and we at Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter are super excited to participate in this competition for the development of “Gasklocka 4” in Norra Djurgårdsstaden together with Arkitema!
In December 2020, OBOS won the land allocation competition for Gas Klocka 3 and 4 in Norra Djurgårdsstaden in Stockholm. OBOS ‘vision is to create a building that reflects the area’s unique history and interacts with the sensitive environment of the previous ”Gas Klocka”, while showing evidence of innovation and new thinking through the new building and surrounding area
The project will house about 320 apartments, and with preschools and premises for offices + retail on the two ground floors. Obos is planning for a high-rise building of 29 floors. The appearance of the scraper remains for the competing teams to design
The winning proposal will be decided by an assessment group consisting of representatives from OBOS, the City of Stockholm, as well as external members who are members of Swedish Architects. Construction of the project is expected to take place in 2023 and with planned completion in 2026.
