We are pre-qualified for a new church competition, for Højvangen Church, Skanderborg Denmark! The new church is expected to be completed in three years
For several years, Skanderborg Parish's parish council has worked purposefully on a new church building in Højvangen. Now, four qualified candidates have been selected to submit their bids for the church building. The church is expected to be done in 2024.
Following a process of preparing analysis, workshops, listening sessions, citizen meeting and description of needs and wishes, the competition program for a new church was announced in December 2020, and as many as 18 interested architectural firms have applied to participate in the competition to design and build the church.
"Out of the 18 interested architects, four very qualified candidates have now been chosen in full agreement, who must submit their bids for the church building," says Rasmus Kolding, who sits on the parish council and is chairman of the steering group for the church building, in a press release.
These are: Friis & Moltke Architects, E + N Arkitektur, Henning Larsen Architects and Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter.
An evaluation committee consisting of members from the parish council and outside experts will evaluate the four proposals received after the competition deadline expires in June 2021. From here, the final team is chosen to be responsible for drawing and completing the church building.
Our team consists of Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter with sub-consultant the architectural firm Frost Larsen, the landscape architectural firm Kristine Jensen and the engineering firm Buro Happold
